Gaythorne Bowls Club was one of twenty Brisbane Bowls Clubs to form the Brisbane District Bowls Association on the 27th of January 1988.
Since these times, Clubs have closed due to many reasons, and those that are still open had to create new streams of revenue. Gaythorne Bowls Club has prospered with many new regular weekly events.
