Our Administration

Gaythorne Bowls Club is administered by the elected board members. The board meets monthly, and elections are held annually. All decisions regarding the Club are decided by the board members. Any full member of the Club can be stand for a position of the Board at the Annual General Meeting.

Our Green Rules

At Gaythorne we try and keep our greens in tip top condition which is becoming more and more expensive. We would appreciate when you are using our greens that you treat them with the same care as our own members would.

We ask you to observe a few simple rules when using our facilities as our bowling greens MUST be treated with the upmost care. Our website contains detailed information for using and taking care while on the greens.

Coaching

We have our very own qualified lawn bowls coaches at the club for anyone who wants to learn, improve their game, ask at the club for more information in regards availability.

These coaches are available to ensure new bowlers receive coaching and rules tuition in the game of bowls. All new bowlers must have between 5 and 10 lessons, before being permitted to play on programmed playing days. We have access to YouTube video links also to help you learn and understand the wonderful game of bowls.

We also have several “Learn to Bowl” sessions as part of the Brisbane City Council GOLD Program
