Gaythorne Bowls Club Roof Repairs 2026

On Monday 30th March Brisbane City Council Contractors will begin major repairs to the Clubhouse roof.

The First step will be to remove the complete Awning on the front of the Club in preparation for the roof repairs.

When this work commences there will be No access to the Main Part of the Club from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm.

The car park may also be closed at this time.

As far as we are aware the main roof repair will commence on Tuesday 7th April 2026 but this will need to be confirmed by the contractors. 

The work is likely to take some 8 weeks but is dependant on the wonderful Queensland weather.

Evenings and weekends the access to the main body of the Club will be as normal.

Lawn Bowls at the Club will continue to be held as usual but without any access to the main body of the Club House.

The Council will also provide TWO portable toilets for use during daytime bowling.

The Club will provide facilities for drinks for the Lawn Bowls sessions.
